Insurance
Crossroads Professional Counseling accepts select insurance plans, including HUSKY Health (Connecticut Medicaid). Coverage and any out-of-pocket costs depend on your individual insurance plan, including deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and benefit limitations.
Because insurance policies vary widely, clients are encouraged to review their plan details or contact their insurance company before their first appointment to better understand their mental health benefits and any expected costs.
It may also be helpful to confirm whether your plan requires you to designate or update a Primary Care Provider (PCP) or obtain referrals prior to receiving services.
Understanding your insurance benefits in advance can help prevent unexpected out-of-pocket expenses. Clients are responsible for any copayments, deductibles, or services not covered by their insurance plan.
Self-Pay
For clients who prefer not to use insurance, or whose plans do not cover counseling services, private pay is available.
Standard session fee:
60-minute individual therapy session: $150
Payment is due at the time of service. Reduced-fee appointments may be available in limited circumstances based on financial need.

Crossroads Professional Counseling currently participates with select insurance plans. Accepted plans may change over time as credentialing processes are completed.

Reduced Fee Options
A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available for individuals experiencing financial hardship.
Crossroads Counseling is committed to improving access to mental health care for underserved communities. A limited number of reduced-fee or pro bono appointments may be available when resources allow. Eligibility may be based on household income and financial circumstances. If you have questions about reduced-fee options, please feel free to reach out to discuss whether accommodations may be available.
Out-of-Network Plans
Crossroads Counseling does not currently participate with out-of-network reimbursement plans. Please contact us to inquire whether your insurance plan is accepted.
Payment
Crossroads Professional Counseling accepts the following forms of payment:
• Credit and debit cards
• HSA or FSA cards
• Electronic payment methods
Payment is processed securely through the client portal at the time of service.
Payment Plans
If you experience difficulty paying a balance, please contact the office to discuss possible payment arrangements. The goal is to work collaboratively so that financial concerns do not become a barrier to care whenever possible.
